The Organising Committee of the 28th Panhellenic Academic Libraries Conference attempts to organise a conference, which will implement principles of sustainability, reducing its environmental footprint. According to a MeetGreen report, the average conference attendee produces per day 293 kg of CO2 emissions (!) and 1.9 kg of waste, half of which will not be recycled.
We are inspired by this year’s conference theme and we hope to lay the foundations for our annual conference to take care of these issues from now on.
