Dr Petra Hauke
Ph.D. in Library and Information Science. Petra Hauke serves as lecturer at the Berlin School for Library and Information Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany, and for the Austrian Library Association’s educational programme. She has served as editor and has authored numerous library science related publications. She has presented many papers internationally-wide at IFLA and other international and national conferences. She has taught on a wide range of library-related subjects at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a host of other universities in Germany and abroad. Her career spans more than 35 years of expertise in both public and academic libraries. Petra Hauke has served for IFLA since 2005 in different Sections and positions, currently as secretary of ENSULIB, IFLA’s Environment, Sustainability and Libraries Section. Dr Konstantina Martzoukou
Dr Konstantina Martzoukou is Teaching Excellence Fellow at Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen, Scotland), Senior Fellow of Advanced HE and holds a PhD in information seeking behaviour of students in HE when using Web search engines. Her research interests encompass information seeking behaviour, information and digital literacy and online learning with an emphasis on the impact of the everyday life environment. Konstantina is currently working on a research project ‘Maddie is Online’ ‘Maddie is Online’: a creative learning path to ethics of online safety and security for young people | Projects | RGU (funded by the Scottish Government), which examines young people’s (preteens) digital resilience and safety. At European level, she is partner in the EU+ project “BRIDGE: “Information and digital literacy at school. A bridge to support critical thinking and equality values for primary education using children’s literature and transmedia”. Martzoukou is also currently researching students' digital competences in Higher Education, is a life member of OneHE and the founder of the online community of practice, ‘OneHE Information, Digital and Media Literacy: Mindsets’. Martzoukou has explored the information literacy experiences of vulnerable communities, such Syrian New Scots (Syrian refugees in Scotland) and is a member of a number of research related committees, including the Editorial Advisory Committee of Library Management Journal, the European Conference on Information Literacy and the Annual Meeting of The Association for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T). She has been PhD external examiner at national and international level and invited speaker in several conferences and events, including the 2019 CILIP Public and Mobile Libraries conference (keynote speaker) and is currently co-judge of the Information Literacy Award at the Librarians Information Literacy Annual Conference (LILAC). She has also previously been ESRC Grants Assessment Panel (GAP) member and Project Grants Reviewer for the Irish Research Council.
