HEAL-Link 2022-2024: Developments, challenges, perspectives

The Electronic Resources Unit of the Hellenic Academic Libraries Link(HEAL-Link), is responsible for handling issues regarding electronic resources provided through HEAL-Link, to the country's academic and research institutions. During the presentation, there will be a summary of the agreements with the publishers regardingHEAL-LINK Subscriptions for the 2022-2024three-year period, a statistics display for the HEAL-LINK subscriptions and a detailed description of the services provided, with an emphasis on Open Access (OA) and HEAL-LINK infrastructures.

In particular, the Scholarly Communication Unit located at the University of Patras will carry out an assessment regarding the 2019-2021 three-year period in relation to OA publications under HEAL-LINK agreements. In addition to this, all active and upcoming agreements will be presented, which include publication costs coverage by HEAL-LINK, as well as developments for OA support initiatives and programs.

Finally, there will be a presentation of the HEAL-LINK's academic research data repository (HARDMIN). The purpose of this central repository is to gather all the research data produced by Greek researchers and academics of the Greek Universities and to make them accessible in the most open and secure way possible. The repository aims to cover the key need for safe storage and publication of research data of the Greek scientific community, in respect to the ultimate goal of increasing transparency in research, research data re-usability by other researchers around the world and acceleration of the digital transformation in the research field of our country.
