Το Εθνικό Κέντρο Κοινωνικών Ερευνών (ΕΚΚΕ) αποτελεί συνέχεια του Κέντρου Κοινωνικών Επιστημών (ίδρυση 1959), εποπτεύεται από το Υπουργείο Ανάπτυξης (ΓΓΕΤ) και είναι ο σημαντικότερος δημόσιος φορέας στον τομέα της κοινωνικής έρευνας. Στόχος του προγράμματος είναι η προσέγγιση της ιστορικής διάστασης της έννοιας νεολαία και η συμβολή στον προσδιορισμό της ταυτότητας της ελληνικής νεολαίας, μέσω της διερεύνησης των μηχανισμών, που καθορίζουν τη σχέση των νέων γενεών με τα δημογραφικά, πολιτισμικά, κοινωνικά και ψυχολογικά συστήματα μέσα στο χρόνο.

Η αστική μη κερδοσκοπική εταιρεία της Εκκλησίας της Ελλάδος «Κέντρο Συμπαραστάσεως Παλιννοστούντων και Μεταναστών – Οικουμενικό Πρόγραμμα Προσφύγων» με στόχο την παροχή υποστηρικτικών υπηρεσιών σε Έλληνες παλιννοστούντες από γερμανόφωνες χώρες της Δυτικής Ευρώπης, ώστε αυτοί να ανταπεξέλθουν κυρίως σε θέματα κοινωνικής ασφάλισης καθώς και σε προβλήματα που προέκυπταν κατά την επιστροφή και επανένταξή τους στην ελληνική κοινωνία. Όταν στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 1990 άρχισε να διογκώνεται η εισροή αλλοδαπών μεταναστών και προσφύγων προς την Ελλάδα, η εν λόγω υπηρεσία ίδρυσε ένα ιδιαίτερο γραφείο, το Οικουμενικό Πρόγραμμα Προσφύγων (Ecumenical Refugee Program/ERP) προκειμένου να διαχειρίζεται αποτελεσματικότερα υποθέσεις αιτούντων άσυλο, προσφύγων και μεταναστών.
